In 3rd grade students will continue to extend their learning in all subject areas. While working to improve our writing technique students will be authors of many different genres including opinion and expository. Becoming a reader that enjoys books is what we strive for in 3rd grade. Students will be exposed to books in many genres and will continue to work on their reading strategies. We ask students to read 400 minutes a month. Reading calendars are due on the 1st of every month. Using Everyday Math 4 we will learn our multiplication facts, geometry, and more. Remember to have your child complete their assigned Home Link. Working with others an important skill. We will work together during our researchers units. During these units we will learn more about our community, inventors, space, and many more. We look forward to a great year in 3rd grade.
